Shawn Marie Carnall


I describe myself as someone with a passion for helping other people and for keeping track of details.  I have planned and coordinated weddings of all shapes and sizes, organized conferences for 80-18,000 people and managed banquets for 200-1,000 guests.  A former sales manager for Hilton Hotels, I decided to follow my heart and channel my organizational energies to weddings and special events and in 1999, I created An Exceptional Event.

I have a degree in English and Dance from Goucher College, a graduate certificate in Event Management from the George Washington University and have held the prestigious CMP designation (Certified Meeting Professional).  I am also a graduate of the Association of Bridal Consultants professional development program. 

I have planned many events at amazing venues throughout DC, Maryland and Northern Virginia - and have a special place in my heart for where I live, beautiful Loudoun County.  My job is to be focused on all the details that go into making your wedding day flow smoothly -

so that you can concentrate on each other.
