I am so lucky to love what I do! I have a passion for taking care of people and keeping track of details. Fortunately for me, I found a career that allows me to do both. I have planned and coordinated weddings of all shapes and sizes, organized conferences for 80-18,000 people and managed banquets for 200-1,000 guests. A former sales manager for Hilton Hotels and an association and corporate meeting planner, I decided to follow my heart and channel my organizational energies to weddings and in 1999, I created An Exceptional Event.
I am happily married to my Australian husband, James, and we have three wonderful boys. I have a degree in English and Dance from Goucher College, a graduate certificate in Event Management from The George Washington University and have held the prestigious CMP designation (Certified Meeting Professional). I am a graduate of the Association of Bridal Consultants professional development program and a member of Hunt Country Celebrations.
I have planned many events at amazing venues throughout DC, Maryland and Northern Virginia - and have a special place in my heart for where I live, beautiful Loudoun County, Virginia.
